News On Aliens 3D, 300 Rise of Empire, Predator 3D And Expendables 3

  • It’s been somewhat of a busy week, so the site hasn’t been updated too thoroughly.  But good news to start with, because friend of John McTiernan (and one of the first to defend him) and all round Manly Man Robert Davi has joined The Expendables 3.  What’s more, his scenes will mostly be with Mel, so it looks like he’ll be a villain ally of Gibson!  There’s always room for Robert Davi…

Incase you have forgotten, Predator 3D is on the way.  It’ll be released this Christmas and Fox will be keeping an eye on how good it turns out, with a view to future conversions of ‘classics’.  Here’s the official cover art;

  • We’re not done with 3D just yet.  If there’s one movie besides Predator that would be amazing to see in proper 3D, it would be Aliens (1986).  It could yet happen.  Fox reps were hinting at the possibility of it during Comic-Con: “Speaking with a Fox representative, I inquired about future releases of Fox films to get the 3D treatment and while no official word has been given, the Alien films could be in the cards.”

Finally, some news on what will probably be Manly Movie of the year, Escape Plan.  In no surprise, it has been given a suitable Rated-R classification: “Rated R For violence and language throughout.” (thanks to Ray) and a new poster (Frenchy):
