Bruce Willis Takes Over Schwarzenegger Project ‘Captive’

At one point Arnold Schwarzenegger was due to star in action thriller ‘Captive’, originally announced in 2011.  It was supposed to be one of his comeback features.  The story was about a real-estate magnate taken hostage in Brazil, while a ransom specialist hunts to find him.  Schwarzenegger has left the project and according to variety.com, Bruce Willis has taken his place.  I think it was a good move by Arnie to abandon this one.  Something sounds off and weak about it.  Could be a routine and dull thriller.  On the other hand, I don’t care what Willis does anymore.

Simon Brand is on board to direct. Brand also directed “Unknown,” a 2006 thriller starring Jim Caviezel, Greg Kinnear, Bridget Moynahan, Joe Pantoliano and Barry Pepper and centered on group of men kidnapped and locked in a factory.
