Jason Statham Returning As The Mechanic

Off the back of today’s earlier news that Jason Statham will not return in The Transporter 4 comes some other news to counteract it – Statham will return for The Mechanic 2.  The first movie was a remake of the Charles Bronson original, where Bronson tutored Jan-Michael Vincent (from Airwolf).  That version was superior.

No other details yet.  Other than Nu Image is shopping the project to buyers at the European Film Market in Berlin.  The first movie made 51 million from a 40 million budget, critic snobs also took aim at the movie, so considering that it’s interesting a sequel is coming.

Anyway we’re fans of Statham and dismiss critical shots at his resume, this should be another solid release if not a classic.  More soon, vid from last right now…
