The Rock: I Wanna Be Bond Villain

Ever heard that The Rock’s grandfather Peter Maivai once played a villain who James Bond in Sean Connery’s 1967 Bond movie You Only Live Twice?  It is true, although the man had only played a thug/driver basically.

Now though The Rock himself wants to continue the tradition and become the latest in the Maivai line to battle Agent 007.

The Rock says:  “I would love to be a Bond villain. I am a huge fan of Daniel Craig and the Bond movies but it seems only right to follow in my grandfather’s footsteps as a Bond baddie.”  I think it could work, although he was playing a grey area/anti hero type guy in both cases he seemed pretty good in Faster and Snitch.  I think The Rock in Bond could benefit both he and that franchise.

But who thinks Rock would dwarf Daniel Craig just a little bit too much?
