Stallone Must Do The Right Thing By Fans

It saddens me to say this….I am no longer excited for EXPENDABLES 3 and this is a film starring Mel Gibson, Harrison Ford, Wesley Snipes, Antonio Banderas, Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jet Li, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren etc.

Why am I no longer excited?
Because Sylvester Stallone or Lionsgate or Avi Lerner have decided to branch off from what this series is all about and go after young teenage boys thus making the film PG-13! Yes, you heard that right. EX3, as of this moment anyway, will get a PG-13 rating.

A movie starring MAD MAX, RAMBO, TERMINATOR, DESPERADO, BLADE etc. is going to get a lower rating than the previous EXPENDABLES movies just so they can see if they can bring in the masses (ie 17 year old boys). This decision has made many movie fans sick!

Stallone, I really hope it wasn’t you who made this decision, but since you are the face of this franchise you are going to get the blame. What happened to the Stallone who said he was going to make a series teaming up all the greatest action stars and paying homage to the ’80s and ’90s action films (hard R films)? What happened to the Stallone that broke his neck giving us an epic fight sequence? What happened to the Stallone who called Bruce Willis “Lazy” and “Greedy” because he wouldn’t play ball?

It seems that-that Stallone has been bought out by the mighty studio dollar and now wants to change what the EXPENDABLES SERIES represents: one of the last R rated action franchises around. We the fans stood behind this series because it represented the kind of films we grew up with in the ’80s….BIG, FUN, BLOODY, ACTION SPECTACLES.

By cutting off the balls of this series and making it PG-13 (you can claim all you want that it will be close to an “R” blah blah blah) you are betraying the real fans who pay top dollar to see these EXPENDABLES films on the big screen. Trust me, those fans you think will show up now because of the PG-13 –they will not….they don’t care. But we do!!!

Please Mr. Stallone do the right thing and give us the R cut we know both you and PATRICK HUGHES filmed and cut together. Do not betray the fans who were going to make this movie a success this summer….we already have many PG-13 action movies to go to. Remember this important rule Mr. Stallone…if you don’t give the fans what they want….they will not give a damn and EX3 will go down in flames. Please make us the fans excited again and do the right thing!
