Wait, There’s Talk Of A Hard Target Sequel?

A little bit of a rumor surfaced over at ImpactOnline this week.  Talk of a Hard Target sequel.  They mention it at the bottom of their article about that Kickboxer reboot; “…there are remakes in the work for Kickboxer, Bloodsport and Time Cop, as well as talk of a possible Hard Target sequel.”

True or not?  ImpactOnline has pedigree, it’s a very old action magazine that has been running since the 1980s, being a hard print publication for most of its life.  Only in recent years did they pull the plug on their printed magazine to go online only.  Which is understandable considering the dual blows of magazines being overtaken by the ‘net and people losing interest in the niche that made them popular.

But on the other hand… it’s doubful, they were the first to state that Mel Gibson would appear with Jackie Chan in Dragon Blade.  That looks very unlikely as that movie is supposedly shooting right now in China, with Mel heading to Cannes then straight back to the U.S. to shoot Blood Father.

Maybe Hard Target 2 wouldn’t be such a good idea anyway, would it?
