Doug Liman Remaking Stallone WW2 Movie Victory
Remember that movie where Sylvester Stallone played a goalkeeper in a WW2 POW team, which was planning to break out of its camp? Time for a remake of that it seems.
Doug Liman (“Edge of Tomorrow”, “The Bourne Identity”) will direct a redo of the 1981 film “Victory” for Warner Bros, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Gavin O’Connor, writer of Warrior, is penning the remake.
For once I have no objections to such a remake. O’Connor is a good writer and Liman is a good director, and the original was a nice manly premise.
