New Pics Show Lighter Tone For The Latest Expendables Movie

It looks to us and probably quite a few others that The Expendables franchise is moving into a lighter arena, almost Fast & Furious-ish.  Personally I dig the Fast series but as their own thing.  Perhaps these pictures below illustrate this point.

Notice the ambience of each, with bright candy colours bathing the stars as they look around happily and cheerful.  Even in a (war plane) Jason Statham is not immune to it, his pose and facial expression being one of cautious ‘reassurance’.

To show how things have changed I’m going to add another older picture below, from the first movie.  It features Manly Movie favourite Gary Daniels, staring down Dolph Lundgren.  In the shadows, Daniels looks menacing, badass and very much like an ’80s heavy.
