This Anti-Gibson Stuff Is Getting Old

Anyone notice that some journalists are embarrassingly stuck in a time warp with their anti-Mel Gibson agenda?

What did Mel do, anyway?  Did he rape a woman in a hotel room?  Did he rape a young girl then flee to another country to avoid prosecution?  Mike Tyson and Roman Polanski are guilty of this. Yet curiously they enjoy better reputations than Mel Gibson even to this day, for some people.  At one point, convicted cannibal rapist Mike Tyson was seemingly considered the better man for the ‘Hangover’ franchise.  Zach Galifianakis was curiously able to go over people’s heads and have the final say on casting, and he shunned Mel Gibson for Tyson.  The hypocrisy is sickening and it hasn’t gone unnoticed among the average Joe.

‘Mad Mel’, they call him.  Why?  Does Mel attack people with heavy hotel desk phones, like Russell Crowe?  Does he jump up and down on sofas on talk shows like some raving lunatic, like Tom Cruise?

Recently with Mel’s Expendables 3 exposure, it seemed that for some prominent sites and reviews, certain people still felt it necessary to express their disgust at what Mel Gibson may or may not have done years ago.  Like they feared a slap on the wrist from some quarter over what might happen if they gave Mel the praise he deserved.  How pathetic.  This may have been trendy years ago but it certainly isn’t now.

People are getting sick of it.  Change the fucking record.

Know this; when you open a review, broadcast or article of something pertaining to Mel Gibson, and you pull the usual disclaimer about how you’re not pro-Gibson, you’re actually starting to piss people off at this point.  I’ve seen it a lot, backlash in the comments sections of reviews where they praise Mel Gibson the actor but denounce Mel Gibson the man.  Mel Gibson is a good man, people can tell this from his physiognomy alone., from his demeanour.  The hate has ran its course and now people are starting to resent and reject it.  The opinions of the people at large do not reflect those of you or your bosses.

So, the longer it goes on, the more it’s probably going to turn on whoever brings it up.  Witching season is over, and anyone who is practising this bullshit in 2014 is making themselves look like either servile, weak cowards or deranged people with a dirty agenda.  The tables are turning. From here on out, criticism of Mel Gibson should be used to show us who has credibility and who has not.
