Iko Uwais Joins Frank Grillo In “Skyline” Sequel

“The Raid” star Iko Uwais will co-star with Frank Grillo in “Beyond Skyline,” the upcoming follow-up to the 2010 alien invasion adventure “Skyline”.  Join will play the leader of an underground resistance that forms after aliens touch down on earth. Grillo plays a father looking for his abducted child.

Uwais’ “The Raid” franchise co-star Yayan Ruhian is also on board the project, and both will  work as fight choreographers on the film.

Liam O’Donnell is directing and has penned the script. Greg and Colin Strause, who helmed the first film, will produce alongside Matthew Chausse and Mike Wiluan.

Filming begins in Indonesia in early December.
