Mad Max Video Game Cancelled On PS3/360, New Artwork

I wonder if anyone has remembered that this game actually exists or has been in development.  It would not be the first movie tie-in game to be canned midway through development (Alien Resurrection sequel, Dirty Harry: The Video Game).  The good news is that it is still on the horizon and even has new artwork (see below), the bad news is that it has been cancelled on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.

Videogamer.com David Scammel Tweeted the following.

Mad Max releases on PS4, Xbox One and PC on September 4. Xbox 360 and PS3 versions cancelled.

Scammel says he is unsure why the PS3/360 versions were cancelled but I think that it is kind of obvious that those systems are severely aging now and cross-platform/cross-generational games are going to become more and more of a liability for new generation games on the Xbox One and Playstation 4.  Check out the new artwork.
