Baruchel Directing Goon: Last Of The Enforcers

I remember watching “Goon” when it came out a few years back and thinking that I shouldn’t expect much, only to find that the movie was actually pretty funny.  So now it is nice to hear that a sequel is on the cards.  Jay Baruchel, who co-starred with Sean William Scott in the original movie, is set to direct.

The sequel will be titled “Goon: Last of the Enforcers”.

In a recent Reddit AMA, Scott revealed he’s been training with an MMA fighter for Goon 2, which means we can probably expect to see some pretty brutal fisticuffs in the sequel. Goon: Last of the Enforcers is scheduled to begin production in June.

Baruchel co-wrote the first film Evan Goldberg (The Interview) and is penning the script for the sequel alongside his writing partner Jesse Chabot. Goldberg will return as executive producer.
