There’ll Be A Shanghai Noon 3?

I’m sure people wondered what the hell happened to this movie, the third in the ‘Shanghai’ series.

‘Shanghai Dawn’ will see Chan and Wilson reprise their roles as  Chon Wang and Roy O’Bannon from 2000’s “Noon” and it’s 2003 sequel ‘Shanghai Knights’.  Nothing has been mentioned on who’d be director; Tom Dey directed the first, David Dobkin helmed the second.

The Tracking Board mentions that it’s currently out to writers. MGM head Jonathan Glickman will retain his position as producer on the third go-round.

I do remember though that Tracking Board had told the internet that Lethal Weapon was being rebooted with Chris Hemsworth appearing as Martin Riggs and Justin Lin filling in as director, who then laughed the rumor off as ‘bullshit’, so who knows…
