Keaton’s Batman To Appear In Video Game

keatonbatmangameThe last time we caught Michael Keaton in an official capacity as Batman was 22 years ago, when he showed up in Batman Returns for the SNES.  Although I’m open to correction on that, May 1993 was the last time Batman was truly a badass, even if the movie came out in 1992.

Anyway, to follow up on a recent piece of manly movie nostalgia when Carl Weathers/Dillon re-emerged in Mortal Kombat X, Michael Keaton’s Batman will show up in the new Arkham video game.  As DLC of course, so nothing to get too excited about.

But even better, the GOAT Batmobile will also show up.  The Keaton Batman looks like he has been hitting the gym since 1992!  Incidentally, it reminds me on how Sylvester Stallone blamed the downturn in manly action movies from the 1980s on Batman 1989.  Sly said: “It was that first Batman movie. The action movies changed radically when it became possible to Velcro your muscles on. It was the beginning of a new era. The visual took over. The special effects became more important than the single person. That was the beginning of the end.”

Check out Batman and his ride…
