Hard Target 2 Filming This Fall, John Woo Producing

It looks like we’re getting a sequel to 1993 actioner Hard Target, with a director named Roel Reine helming the project.  But those anticipating a return for Jean Claude Van Damme might be disappointed, since he does not appear to be involved with the movie.

According to NU.NL, this movie will film this October and November in Thailand.  ‘In the second part, human hunting continues in the jungles between Burma and Thailand‘.  Director Roel Reine is currently casting the project.  Reine says of the movie; ‘What an honor to work for one of your idols. Hard Target 2 should be an ode to the old films John Woo was in Hong Kong.’

John Woo is attached as producer of this movie, but it’s probably unlikely he’ll be too involved.
