‘Red’ Headed To Television

There are quite a few movies that are being converted to television these days, such as Minority Report or Fargo.  Now Red is getting the same treatment.

NBC is the network fronting this one, and they’ve got Jon Hoeber and Erich Hoeber – who wrote the 2010 film, and its sequel – at the helm. Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Mark Vahradian are also are involved too.

According to Deadline, “the TV series version will retain the core concept of the films but will be set in a more grounded and authentic world, focusing on the characters’ darkly hilarious struggles to survive civilian life as they simultaneously fight for and against the very organization that threw them out.”

The show will, of course, be based on Retired Extremely Dangerous CIA operatives, but we don’t know much more than that.
