Villeneuve Wants To Direct Bond

Since Sam Mendes has been swearing that “Spectre” will be his last time directing a James Bond film, the question of who will be his replacement arises.

One new interesting name has popped up – acclaimed French-Canadian director Denis Villeneuve (“Prisoners,” “Enemy”) who is coming off the success of the action-heavy drug cartel drama “Sicario”.  Villeneuve reveals in a new interview with Coming Soon that he was excited to do “Sicario” as it offered him more action and to avoid the general rules of genre movies. He also professed his love for all things Bond saying:

“I was raised with James Bond. I love James Bond movies. I would love to do a James Bond movie one day.”

I can think of few better names for this than Denis Villeneuve to be honest.  Is he a good fit?  Yay or nay?  Also, there’s also the question of who should be Bond himself.
