Miller Taking Break From Mad Max

We know that both George Miller and Warner Bros. are planning at least two more Mad Max: Fury Road sequels.  It appears though that they won’t happen just yet.  Miller wants a break from the heavy lifting of filming a kinetic and practical Mad Max movie.

He has said that before he makes the next Mad Max installment, he needs something a little less… frenetic. “I want to do a small film without special effects before I do any of that, just to do it quickly,” he said. “We shot Fury Road for eight months… that’s a lot. Every day in the heat and the dust, doing these stunts, it’s very wearing. We’ve got two more planned, but at some point in the future.”

Miller is age 70, so I think after Mad Max: Fury Road I think the man has earned a break.  By the way I finally got my hands on a copy of Mad Max: Fury Road on 3D Blu-Ray, so there will be a review of that up soon.  The verdict is probably going to be a positive one.
