Complete Rambo: First Blood Part II Score Coming To CD

Intrada Records has announced that they plan a new release for the 1985 action sequel Rambo: First Blood Part II directed by George P. Cosmatos and starring Sylvester Stallone, Richard Crenna, Charles Napier and Steven Berkoff.

This release will be the film’s original music composed and conducted by Jerry Goldsmith (Star Trek: The Motion Picture, The Omen, Planet of the Apes, Patton, L.A. Confidential) who also scored the second and third movies.

The 2-CD set features the complete score on the first disc, as well as the 35mm three-channel mixes and several extras on the second disc. To find out more and pre-order the CD, visit the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples.

This sounds good to me, this is literally one of the best action soundtracks ever composed.
