Real Bank Robbery Delays Schwarzenegger Action Movie

An attempted bank robbery in Cloverdale Thursday appears to have temporarily delayed an Arnold Schwarzenegger’s new movie being shot in the area.  Why We’re Killing Gunther has been interrupted and according to a Canadian news source;

Police received a call at 12:30 p.m. Thursday (Aug. 18) that there was a robbery at Coast Capital Savings in the 17700-block of 56th Avenue.

Corporal Scotty Schumann said one suspect is in police custody. On Friday, police identified the man as Jeffry Ozolins, 32, of no fixed address. He has been been charged with robbery.

The first officers on scene Thursday were able to broadcast a description of the suspect provided by witnesses, Surrey RCMP stated Friday.

“Nearby officers providing security and traffic control for a movie shoot, and regular patrol officers, were able to flood the area quickly as filming was briefly halted,” Surrey RCMP said in a news release.

“One officer contacted the film crew and asked them to keep an eye out for the suspect. Almost right away, one of the crew members spotted a person matching the suspect description and told the officer. That same officer was able to track down the suspect and take him into custody without incident.”

Schwarzenegger will portray the titular Gunther, the world’s greatest hitman who’s also arrogant, a show-off and steals jobs. The assassin community is tired of him and a group of eccentric killers from across the globe come together to set the perfect trap, but their master plan quickly turns into a series of embarrassing fails as Gunther always appears one step ahead.
