Sons Of Anarchy Spin Off ‘Mayans’ Ordered

FX has officially given a the green light for Mayans M.C., the spin-off to the network’s Sons of Anarchy.  A pilot at least.

The premise is set in the wake of Jax Teller’s demise. EZ Reyes, a prospect in the Mayan MC charter on the California-Mexico border, struggles with his desire for vengeance against the cartel and his need for respect from the women he loves.

Kurt Sutter will co-write, executive produce and direct the pilot which Elgin James also penned. Sutter has previously claimed that the show’s tone, pace, storytelling will be unique. In March production will go ahead on the pilot with Fox 21 Television Studios and FX Productions producing.
