1st Pics From The New Tomb Raider

A while back, Star Wars: The Force Awakens breakout star Daisy Ridley confirmed that she had engaged in discussions with Warner Bros., MGM and GK Films to star as Lara Croft.  Turns out she didn’t get the gig.

The new Lara Croft will be played by Alicia Vikander.  Here are the first pictures from this movie.

Unfortunately, we’re not supposed to talk about her sex appeal. Because that would be ‘sexist’, you see (admiring women or discussing their figures is bigoted in the ‘post-gender’ world, keep up boys, will ya?!).  Look at the comments sections across the ‘net discussing these pictures and you’ll see them packed with ‘finally a realistic looking female hero’ and shit like that.

It’s supposed to be a gritty and grounded reboot, to reflect the post-gender society.  Even though the actual rebooted game series of the past few years have had the heroine kill 700 enemies per level in dumb QTE action sequences, while the original Lara killed practically no-one and figured her way out of holes, literally.
