Aaron Thomas, Shawn Ryan, Justin Lin, Neal Moritz, Marney Hochman, Danielle Woodrow and Pavun Shetty are executive producers, Lin directed the pilot. Stephanie Sigman, Alex Russell, Jay Harrington, Lina Esco, Kenny Johnson and Peter Onorati also star.

Star Trek returns to television this fall, a new trailer for ‘Discovery’ can be watched above.

The Walking Dead’s Sonequa Martin-Green, who plays first officer Lt. Commander Michael Burnham, has offered some details on where this series is headed.   The actress tells TV Line that the show aims to offer a grittier take on the Trek world.

“This iteration of Star Trek is going to have a different take than the others in the Star Trek canon. It’s going to be bigger, rawer and grittier… and the story’s going to build on itself. It’s going to be a tremendous journey. Since Star Trek has always been through the eyes of the captain, to be coming from [his second-in-command’s] mindset is going to be refreshing and challenging in ways that are very thrilling.”

I don’t think I’ve watched a ‘Star Trek’ TV series regularly since the 1990’s, but based on this trailer I don’t know if that’s going to change.

I think that a lot of us here like eighties and nineties action shows and may have a soft spot for a lot of them, so a good Network action show it’s always a welcome change from mostly the reality & shitty show Network TV airs today.

On Friday nights on CBS later the so-called MacGyver show airs (watch at your own risk and make up your own mind 😨 ) but then it’s followed by two good Network TV shows that have been on for quite a while, “Hawaii Five-O” and “Blue Bloods” starring Tom Selleck.
I have to say that I like them both and both of them are now streaming on Netflix. In the United States “Law & Order” gets most of the fame but “Blue Bloods” it’s a good cop show set in New York that a good time killer.

I was apprehensive about “Hawaii Five-O” but then I got around to it and liked it. It’s a fun network tv action show and you don’t get a lot of those today.

“Last Man Standing” was a cool sitcom.
Even though it won friday nights for the network in viewers , was the second highest comedy on the network and the third highest rated show overall, the network ABC canceled it.
I guess when Trump won and Tim Allen saying he didn’t like big government a conservative character on television making fun of Hillary was not as funny & 1 was plenty.
( the show is on Netflix btw )

    Fuck you ABC!
Here’s the problem with the ultra-left..
They want everybody to think like them and when you have everybody saying and thinking the exact same crap, you get rid of the diversity you claim to want and love so much..
    fucking hypocrites!

    Well..I guess he was right
