James Cameron is preparing four Avatar sequels and has sought Josh Brolin to appear in them. Josh Brolin however had other ideas and turned him down. Apparently this didn’t go down too well with ‘The King of the World’. In an interview with Esquire Magazine, Brolin says it even resorted to… name calling!
“If I don’t want to do ‘Avatar,’ I’m not going to do ‘Avatar.’ James Cameron’s f—ing calling me this name and that name. Whatever. If James Cameron came to me and said, ‘Hey, man, why’d you say that?’ I’d go, ‘Because it happened.’”
I’d be concerned about too many Avatar movies, the first one wasn’t exactly great — although mind you, Stephen Lang is returning as the villain for each new one and he was the best thing about the first. But elsewhere, Arnold Schwarzenegger claims that Cameron is writing the next Terminator movie. That would be a big bonus and probably the closest thing we’ll ever get to a third movie. At least it’ll be canon this time.
