Day of the Dead is one of my favourite zombie movies ever. It’s even better if you look it from Captain Rhodes’ perspective because, damn, he was the good guy. Anyway, they remade the movie in the 2000s but the less said about that, the better.
Well now they’re remaking it again.
Now, news comes that Saban has picked up the movie for distribution.
As well as that, they’ve also got a new movie lined up titled Bullet Head, in which Antonio Banderas, Adrien Brody and John Malkovich star as criminals who wind up trapped in a warehouse that is surrounded by police.
Finally, Nicolas Cage has spoken up about his ill-fated role as Superman.
“I would offer that the movie that Tim and I would have made, in your imagination, is more powerful than any of the Superman movies. I didn’t even have to make the movie and we all know what that movie would have been in your imagination. That is the Superman. That is the movie. Even though you never saw it – it is the Superman.”
That was at the TIFF. Rumor also has it that Michael Keaton was to cameo as Bruce Wayne. Pity none of this never happened, Tim Burton understands how to ‘film’ this stuff better than anyone, IMO.
