Top Five: Movie Shotguns
4) VG Bentley Sawn-Off – The Road Warrior
I’m not actually 100% certain which type of shotgun this is, but in the first movie it was a sawn-off VG Bentley. I’m guessing it is the same here. This is a key piece of hardware in the movie and is put to use narratively throughout the movie. Shells were as rare as guzzaline in the post-WW3 outback and could probably mean the difference between life and death.
I haven’t looked close enough at Mad Max: Fury Road to yet know whether or not the weapon returns in that movie, but it would be a shame if it didn’t. The sawn-off is almost as necessary as the leathers and V8. And ‘Dog’ of course.
