Top Five: Movie Shotguns

1) William Moore & Co. 8 Gauge Special  – Tremors

tremorsshotgun

This is the daddy of all movie shotguns.  Of that, there can be no doubt.  An 8 Gauge animal of a weapon by William Moore & Co. When they say ‘get the elephant gun’,  the gloves have most assuredly come off and something is about to have a very, very bad day.  In the movie that would be one of the Graboids.  Killed, stone dead.  Burt Gummer (played by Michael Gross, who will return in the latest movie) uses the weapon, slugs too, not scatter shots here.  I dare say you could take the head off a T-800 with one of these babies.  Predators too.  When the earthlings are packing an elephant gun, it’s time to call it a day and go home and shine your trophies.

This was the one and only time a Moore & Co. 8 Gauge has ever appeared in a movie or television show.  They’re special alright.  Retail?  Ain’t no retail on these things, but to buy one now, maybe time to sell the car?
