Eddie Murphy Remaking ‘Grumpy Old Men’

Eddie Murphy is reportedly headed into a remake of the Walther Matthau and Jack Lemmon 1993 comedy Grumpy Old Men for New Line.

Murphy plays an old man at war with another OAP neighbor, but their feud only gets worse when a younger woman moves in as a new neighbor.

The other pensioner hasn’t been cast yet, but THR indicates Samuel L. Jackson is under consideration. Tim Story will direct the new take which will be produced by John Davis.

Murphy is still rumored for Beverly Hills Cop IV according to a press release that hit my email last week.  But then, he’s always been rumored for that.
