It seems that Mel Gibson’s comeback is runaway and simply can no longer be stopped by the haters. Next, as well as appearing in Dragged Across Concrete, he’s going to appear in the action-thriller Waldo.
Based on Howard Gould’s books, the AFM-bound project is being helmed by Tim Kirkby, who directed episodes of ‘Veep’ and ‘Fleabag.’
Waldo introduces a new hero in disgraced former LAPD detective Charlie Waldo (Hunnam), currently living the life of a minimalist in the woods. His quiet life comes to a startling halt when he is roped back into working as a private eye to investigate the murder of an eccentric TV star’s wife. Filming is set to commence in the first quarter of 2019.
It is unknown which role Gibson will play as yet.
