Roland Emmerich is is officially set to a movie about the Battle of Midway. Here is the trailer.
Emmerich touted his plans for this last year, but now he’s officially moving forward with further details coming to light. “Colony” writer/producer Wes Tooke will write.
The battle took place June 4th 1942, six months after Pearl Harbor. Some people say that America’s biggest role in WW2 was D-Day, however it’s arguable that Midway was a bigger victory for them, in the overall strategic picture. It’s probably up there with Kursk as one of the most pivotal ‘writing on the wall’ outcomes for WW2.
The $100 million movie is released November 8th.
