PREVIOUSLY: Julius Avery, director of Overlord, will team with Sylvester Stallone for a new original superhero thriller, Samaritan, which has just announced its supporting cast.

Stallone will play a retired superhero sought after by a young boy, a child boxing prodigy, who is unsure if he’s still alive. Euphoria actor and five-time Georgia state boxing champion Javon ‘Wanna’ Walton has been set as the kid.

United Artists is targeting a December 11th release this year.  So it’s probably filming soon according to Deadline.

Is this a good or bad move for Sylvester Stallone?
