It’s like God doesn’t want that Uncharted film to be made. It has gone through one of cinema’s most notorious development hell streaks. Now, with a case of rampant flu, production was shut down in Germany on the first day of filming.
That meant that actor Tom Holland, still a baffling choice to play Nathan Drake, was sent home to London. Then Holland, in a video chat with Justin Bieber, said; “We went for day one – I’m doing this movie called ‘Uncharted,’ which is based on a video game – and we showed up for our first day of shooting and they shut us down. I was in Berlin, so I had to come home and now I’m back in London.”
He then said: “I played the video games and I got into shape, but that’s about it. It wasn’t heart and soul on the line for it.”
So, no-one wants Holland in the role, and Holland himself doesn’t want the role. Must be a case of nepotism somewhere.
