Liam Neeson’s ‘Autumn Years’ stage of his career shows no signs of abandoning manly action movies. Next, he will appear in a movie titled Retribution.
Directed by Nimrod Antal (Predators), the film sees a man (Neeson) forced to drive a bomb-strapped car around a city as a nutjob pissant gives him tasks to perform, lest the bomb be detonated. Worse, the driver’s family is also being effectively held hostage in the car.
It sounds like a mission out of Grand Theft Auto or maybe more accurately, almost like an abandoned plot for Speed 3.
Chris Salmanpour and Andrew Baldwin penned the script while Salmanpour, Baldwin, Jaume Collet-Serra and Juan Sola produce.
