S. Craig Zahler has given us the best movies in recent years, including Dragged Across Concrete and Bone Tomahawk. But what will he be up to next?
In a recent interview with Word Balloon, the director says that he has three film projects on the way. The first is Hug Chickenpenny: The Panegyric of an Anomalous Child, a movie from his novel of the same name. The story follows an orphan who was born with several deformities and must deal with the prejudice and the dangers of the world, including scientists who adopt him as a pet.
Another is Fury of the Strongman, a movie set in the 1970’s about a travelling circus that goes to war with racists. It is said to be much more serious than Zahler’s previous entries.
The third project, finally, did not have any detailed shed by the director other than it’ll be a horror movie. Zahler is good a those, I think we can agree…
